How do the radiations reach the earth surface during solar ellipse even though the rays are blocked ?
The moon blocks the rays of sun during the solar ellipse, but they say it is harmful to see the ellipse with naked eye. What sort of radiations reach the earth’s surface and how.
The moon covers MOST of the sun, not ALL of it. So there is still sunlight coming out from the edges. And looking at direct sunlight is always bad. But this is worse. Since your eyes are trying to adjust to the darker shading of the moon, the pupils dilate. So if you were to look directly at the solar eclipse you would let more light in, than just looking at the sun on a normal day. So it causes more damage and burns your retinas. But, because of the dark shading you don’t feel pain from looking at it right away (The pain you feel from looking at the sun on a normal day), you’ll feel it later on. Maybe even the next day. Anyways, just never look directly at any sunlight.
