Where is the best place to get a FPE NI-NB circuit breaker?
FPE (Federal Pacific Electric…not to be confused with Federal Pacific Company) is no longer in business. I have a breaker box that is made by them and I need to add two circuits. Where do I get breakers for them?
We’re in Northwest OHIO, there are CARTER plumb+elec stores .They sell a large variety of breakers. I’m fairly sure these breakers are the ones with the stab contacts. They have dropped from the UL approval, They don’t hold in well. The best is to usually simply add a new side box.Get one of the more common like ITE,Gould,GE,or SQ-D. All good. Just make sure you use proper code connections and good modern outside ground rod for safe grounding…. Good luck —fl inspect @yahoo.com
