what causes the effect of light and dark bands travelling along the length of fluorescent lights?
i’ve noticed this effect mostly on tube trains but recently noticed the same thing happened on a fluorescent light in my garage.
Are you talking about the burn area? I think that is just the coating inside the bulb being burnt. You gotta remember that electricity arcs through those tubes so some of that coating gets burned.
