Should I set my furnace fan to “auto” or “on”?
It is a Carrier 110 series from 2004. The cost of running it is the main consideration. I have allergies so running it all the time helps for that.
My wife has terrible allergies. We leave it on and eat the few dollars a month the fan costs. What you got to remember though is that you have to change the filters more often. We use the expensive 3M electret red filters, and that helps so much. Also, with leaving it on, you don’t have to dust as often. It’s a few dollars a month, but breathing is very nice.
